The Salt Lake Bureau’s membership is comprised of licensed recovery agents throughout the United States. The purpose of this group is to share information on delinquent accounts, as well as outstanding performance by lienholders, for the purpose of sharing critical information and providing education relating to accepting or rejecting and/or the conditions of future business relations with lienholders appearing on the report.

For each lienholder reported to the bureau, and actual copy of the report appears for collective member viewing and consideration. If multiple postings have been made on a given lienholder, ‘all’ of those postings are viewable for consideration. The number of postings per lienholder are shown after the name of the lienholder on The Salt Lake Bureau Liendholder Report Listing.

Membership in The Bureau is $100.00 per year, and requires that the prospective member agree to the ‘Disclaimer And Condition For Interactive Services’ of The Salt Lake Bureau in order to qualify for membership, and that the member further agrees to abide by these conditions for ‘all’ postings. All postings carry a fee of $5.00 each for posting, processing and handling, and will be billed to the recovery agency on a monthly basis. Postings may be in the form of a compliment or a complaint on any lienholder with which the licensed recovery agent has had a specific experience.

Once a posting is made by the member, a letter of notification will be sent to the lienholder informing them of the posting. [ View a ‘sample’ letter ] These letters will be mailed by conventional means through the United States Postal Service on each and every posting to the lienholder in question. At this point, the lienholder has the option to attempt to resolve the situation with the recovery agency if they choose to do so, and assuming an acceptable solution is reached, the recovery member of The Bureau may elect to have that posting removed from the master list.
